USAHA/AAVLD Committee on Animal Health Information Systems
Animal Health Information Systems are designed and implemented to solicit, compile and manage data on health and disease and on factors that influence the health status of animals and animal populations. Animal Health Information Systems are to provide information to stakeholders who have the need, right and obligation to know for activities and decisions related to maintenance of health of animals and people, control and eradication of disease, assurance of well-being of animals and profitability of animal industries. The Committee on Animal Health Information Systems encourages, stimulates, and aids the design, development and implementation of such systems, provides a forum for discussion of new developments and oversight of existing systems.
